Well, I have finally uploaded the first seven of this rather odd series of pictures. I don't particularly like to talk about them a whole lot since I'd prefer they be taken however one would like to. Some people I suppose keep journals and stuff on how their lives are going... I suppose that rather than the written word, I feel I can express myself better in visual form... they say a picture is worth a thousand words, perhaps there is some amount of truth in that.

Basically this series (of varying quality) somewhat loosely chronicals my journey thus far in College and my Christian life in general. I chose penguins for many specific reasons and yes I am aware of the irony of the penguin being a flightless bird and me being a pilot. Like I said though there are specific reasons for me using the emperor penguin over other animals, but that would probably be an entire journal all by itself. I started doing the pictures about a year and a half ago and each one represents certain aspects and events that have stuck out to me about my experiences thus far like I said above. The series starts with 'Finding the Way' and ends for now with 'Walk not Alone?', or at least it will until my next one... which should be coming up rather shortly... not that I am sure anyone really cares anyway.

An interesting thing I have noticed about these (I have them posted on my Facebook profile as well) is that people always seem to say the darker ones are the best, or at least the ones that represent the most troubling times for me. I'm not sure if it's because they are of better quality or what. Hopefully I won't have many more really dark ones in store for the future. That is one of those things I would be glad to dissapoint with. Things this semester seem to have brightened up considerably because of a certain event... well it's pretty obvious from the last picture what that might be... hopefully they will only get better though. 'Lonely Ways' and 'Gathering Storm' represent last semester, I certainly don't want to repeat anything like that again. God only knows the answer to that though so I guess I'll find out soon enough. I hope you enjoy these pictures and that this rather disjointed explanation is at least somewhat vaguely helpful.
