Well I'm back to flying reserve at my company. That means not real set schedule and less pay and less time to try and schedule shoots. Despite this, my resolution for the year is to take it all in stride. I used to get all worked up about stuff like this, but I've realized that fretting over what the company does really gets me nowhere. My outlook goal for the year is to be more positive about things, I feel like this is just another test to pass in life. I have a lot to be thankful for despite some parts of my life seemingly not ever working out.

I know everyone gets depressed but perhaps give it a try. I was inspired to take this approach to work and life from a post on ( a great resource for lighting and photography). I really like the site, not only for all the lighting advice but how Micheal Zeibel talks about life and how to inspire you to actually get out there and shoot. I find that more often than not, the biggest hurdle I have to overcome is myself.

Happy New Year!
2012 will be much better than 2011

My main occupation is in aviation... more specifically I fly the friendly skies for Piedmont Airlines during the day, by night I also do the same. But when I get a break from "work" I like to take as many pictures as I can. Although it doesn't pay much, I do really love what I do and I can't imagine anyone elses job affording them the same view of the world that I see at work everyday. It really puts things in perspective, problems that seemed huge on the ground quickly become inconsequential in the freedom of the air. Also, it's a good conversation starter at parties. =P

I do some freelance photography on the side to supplement my meager income and also just take pictures for the heck of it, it's a great stress reliever! Anyway, I'll stop rambling on, I hope you enjoy some of the pics from my sets. I really appreciate any critiques as well, from the good to bad to just plain ugly ones, anything to help improve my shooting is always appreciated.
